This book is in very good condition.  The pages are clean and unmarked.  It was printed in 1998 by Chess Press.  144 pages.  The author is Tony Kosten.

The French Advance Variation is one the most logical and popular ways for White to combat the popular French Defence.  Right from the third move White establishes a solid space advantage, from which he later hopes to launch an attack on either the king's wing or the queenside.  For many years the Advance Variation has been a standard feature in the repertoires of the aggressive former Soviet grandmasters Evgenny Sveshnikov and Victor Kupreichik.
