For your consideration is a little used Dirty Billy Confederate kepi. Color is Family Heirloom Weavers English Army Cloth (blue tint). Has a leather chin strap attached by two block "I" buttons. The visor is of painted tarred canvas with leather trim which has been slightly upturned. Liner is made of brown polished cotton and has a label reading "From J.H. Silverberg, The Original Confederate Cap Factory 382 King Street Charleston, S.C.". Cap measures between 22" and 22-1/4". I believe it is a 7-1/4", at least that is what I bought it as and wearing a 7-1/8" it fits a little loose on me. These sell for $95 new and this is clean and seen little use. |
