This colorful Russian Majolica figurine was created by Natalia Pavlova, award winning Russian artist and professional sculptress. After studying the style, various clays and glazes of Italian majolica while in art school, she and fellow artist Eugeny Shepeleve formed the majolica workshop. Made of traditional terra cotta materials this delightful piece is glazed, hand painted, and fired. This brightly decorated Russian majolica piece features Santa Claus or Father Frost, in Russia, wearing  a red coat and hat with a  full pack in one hand  and holding a Christmas tree with the other hand riding on a pig. This Santa Claus  is approximately 6 1/2" high and 5 1/2" long. This Russian majolica piece is sure to become a treasured heirloom in your family. This figurine has a paper label stating "MADE IN RUSSIA" on the bottom.
