RARE 1832 Antique Milton Leather Book 1st Paradise Lost

This is an extremely rare antique hardbound full leather ornate tooled book of poems entitled "Milton's Poetical Works" with a frontispiece engraving of John Milton, printed by the scarce publisher J.H. Turney, with 1832 the only date given so an assumed 1st first edition by this publisher, "Containing Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, Mask of Comus, Samson Agonistes, and Poems on Several Occasions, Together with The Life of the Author," in Two Volumes -- both contained in this book, and three engraved illustrations, with marbled page edges and marbled end papers, and a total of 321 pages in Volume I and 232 pages in Volume II.  Drawings by R. Westall, Engravings by A.B. Durand and M.Pekenine. This book is valued at over $250.

This beautiful old scarce book is in nice condition for the age being over 175 years old, hinges are cracked by the book is still entirely well-bound, without apparent tears, folds, or markings except for foxing throughout typical from age that does not detract, moderate wear to the cover from handling as shown, and near the front a light small pencil mark and a neat and ornate old gift inscription near the front that appears to say "Susan E. Nightingale from her Uncle H.A.R." although very small and difficult to read.

Overall, a wonderful and rare 1st edition antique leather poetry book by the well-known famous author John Milton in good condition.
