The people depicted in the photographs used throughout this effective, easy-to-follow guide are neither super-skinny nor overly muscled; one has gray hair, one is pregnant, one's tummy bulges over his waistband. Clearly addressing ordinary folk, Christensen breaks down each of her 20-minute practices into two minutes of breathing, two minutes of slow warm-up and eight minutes each of exercise and meditation. All the routines provide full-body toning. Some are very gentle. Several are quite challenging. Christensen suggests that meditation enhances one's ability to be in the moment and to concentrate.
