MERTHIOLATE - Tincture of---2 Bottles Hard Plastic Kit

HERE IS A PROFESSIONAL SAMPLE KIT OF MERTHIOLATE.  The colorless and odorless bottle is labeled Merthiolate Solution.  The label states that it is highly germicidal and an ideal first aid solution.  The second bottle is the solution with inert added ingredients especially for application area identification.  This second bottle is the Tincture of Merthiolate.  Coloring is added plus alcohol, acetone, monoethanolamine and purified water.

The colorless solution if identified only by the label.  The tincture (colored) is identified by the color and the odor (which is distinct).  Neither bottle has been analyzed. 

Both bottles are full (10 cc each). 

These are dated pre-1943 because the labels on each bottle read:

Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis, U.S.A. and without zip-code and without city code.  City codes were established in 1943. 

The bottles come in a black bottom and white top bakelite plastic container as shown in Pic #5.

Merthiolate containing mercury was taken off the US market in the 1990's after a long, researched period.  It was taken off the market by the FDA.
