This auction is for the 1985 White House Historical Association Christmas Ornament.

"The 1985 White House Christmas Ornament commemorates the days of James and Dolley Madison in the President's House.  The fifth in a special series of holiday ornaments, the Madison ornament is gold-plated and was commissioned by the White House Historical Association to hang on the Christmas tree in the Blue Room of the White House.  The hospitality and warmth of the Madisons is symbolic of the spirit of hospitality we all enjoy during the holiday season."

The ornament is in the original box and with the original paperwork, as seen in the pictures. The paperwork tells the story of this ornament. We are not sure if this ornament has been USED or not since we purchased this ornament and 2 other ornaments (which we have listed in seperate auctions) at an Estate Sale. The ornament does appear to have some imperfections or marks from handling or storage so we are selling this ornament as a Used, not a New item.

This ornament still looks great, A WONDERFUL Collectible!
