GARY MOORE- Live at Isstadion Stockholm (Wild Frontier Tour) VHS Hi-Fi Stereo 90 min. Tape & case in excellent condition & plays perfect! Super rare & never released on DVD!
While his 'blues period' contains my favorite music, this particular concert, while strictly hard rock, remains a fantastic performance. This is high-energy rock at its finest. Gary is in absolutely top form, delivering very strong vocals and guitar playing, that while blisteringly fast at times, is also clear and easy to understand. The dude is simply a freakish wizard! Neil Carter does a fine job on the keys and manages to sound almost identical to Gary in the vocal department, so if you're not watching closely, there are a couple songs that will be hard to tell who is singing which part. Carter, while hidden away behind his keyboards most of the time, still manages to look just as energetic as Gary, bouncing around and very physical as far as it's possible to be on the keyboards. Bob Daisley does a masterful job on the bass. Thankfully the bass hasn't been mixed out, so you can hear his creative bass lines come through just fine. Eric Singer pounds on the drums like there's no tomorrow, with some really great fills. Overall, sound quality is superb for a 1987 vhs tape, rivaling many newer DVD concerts I own. You will not be disappointed. Recommended and first-rate |
