This softcover edition is a facsimile of the 1944 1st edition and was published by the Qantas Founders Outback Museum in Longreach in 1996.

This softcover book is in EXCELLENT COLLECTABLE CONDITION - with only a couple of tiny marks on the front cover and front endpaper.  Remainder of book VERY CLEAN.

Dozens of Black and White photos, maps, statistics, etc spread throughout book.

From the back cover......."The exploits of QANTAS pilots and staff in the Empire Flying Boats - keeping the mail lines open, evacuating Singapore, Surabaya and Port Moresby, being caught in the bombing of Darwin and Broome, hauling guns and ammunition, and even hiding behind enemy lines - are probably not well known.

In this book, "Benny" Bremner tells their stories and includes many of the personal "voyage reports" submitted by the aircraft captains"...............
