The weight of this item is over a pound. Shipping cost using Priority Mail with delivery confirmation is based upon the cost to ship this dress to the West.

Unfortunately, it is cheaper to send this package to the Yukon Province of Canada than to ship it to the West.

If you are bidding from the West, you will save substantially on shipping when you win two auctions or more. We will ship 2 Special Occasions dresses for a flat rate of $15 and 3 dresses for $17.50. For the cost of shipping 4 or more items to the West, please ask us for a total cost identifying the 4 or more items.

If your package is shipped to the other locations (South, Midwest, or East), your shipping cost for this item will be reduced---the closer you are to Virginia, the more the reduction. The invoice we send will reflect this reduction.

We are very particular in what we put up for auction. Our home is, and has been smoke-free and pet-free. We will not list anything that we consider tainted by smoke. All items are inspected, clean, and ready to wear. Although we take care in the packing process, there may be some wrinkling and you may be required to haul out the iron and do some light pressing. All items are sold as-is. We list them as mint, excellent, and good condition. Our dress form is suited for small and medium size dresses. We pin each dress at the waist to show some definition. Please examine the detailed measurements carefully and do not rely upon the labeled size as they vary drastically. We cannot guarantee a perfect fit if you base the fit on the size shown on the garment's label. .

Shipping

We ship within the US by USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail--both with Delivery Confirmation. We combine shipping on multiple wins. With the second auction won, you pay the shipping cost of the item with the higher shipping cost and 75% of the published shipping cost for the item with the lower shipping cost. With the third auction won, you pay 100%, 75%, and 50% of the highest, middle, and lowest published shipping cost for the three items, respectively. With the fourth and subsequent wins, you pay only 25% of the published shipping cost for those items. We list items of the same size at the same time so that you may take advantage of the shipping discounts. We normally provide a larger discount on multiple purchases, based upon cheaper shipping methods (e.g., UPS Ground). Our shipping costs include a reasonable handling charge.

We welcome bids from international buyers. We ship by First Class International unless the package exceeds 4 pounds (which ships by Priority Mail International). Please email us prior to bidding to receive the exact shipping cost to your destination. Shipping charges are shown to Canada. International bidders from outside of North America should figure their shipping cost to be at least 1 and 1/2 times the rates shown for Canada. Shipping rates for international bidders are not negotiable. Do not ask us to ship by a cheaper method such as boat mail.

We normally ship the same or next day after receipt of payment. We have never had a package lost or damaged using the USPS; however, be advised that it could happen to your package and we have had some packages in route for almost a month before they were delivered. Shipping insurance is the buyer’s responsibility and we encourage that you add it to your payment. If you decline to add insurance, once we mail your package, we will not be responsible if your package is not delivered. We will assist in tracking the package in hopes of having it found and delivered.

If you plan on bidding on additional auctions after you have won an auction, DO NOT pay for the winning auction. If you do, we take this as an indication that you are finished bidding on all auctions and will ship the item the same or next day. Shipping discounts do not apply to items already shipped.

We try to represent each item as accurately as is possible, but we do miss things and have missed things in the past. We have successfully auctioned thousands of items. Returns

We will graciously accept returns on any item you may win under the following conditions:

· Return the item in the same condition that you received it at your expense. You may ship in the most economical means available (e.g., parcel post in lieu of priority mail).

· Notify us immediately and ship the item back to us within five days of receipt.

· Upon receipt of the item, we will immediately send a refund of your winning bid.
