Sony offers its smallest DV camcorder to date. Its unique, ultra-compact design is approximately 27% smaller than the DCR-PC10. Despite the small size, this camera is feature packed and provides excellent recording quality. A 1/4" 680K pixel CCD imager designed specifically for DV picture quality. Professional quality, Carl Zeiss precision lens system provides unparalleled detail and clarity. 10X Optical /120X Digital Zoom brings the action up close from far away. This camera is capable of recording 12 Bit or 16 Bit digital stereo audio. Audio dub allows you to add an additional 12 bit stereo track to your original recording (with optional RK-G128). LP recording capability increases Record/Play time and allows you to record 90 minutes of digital video on a 60-minute DV cassette. Super SteadyShot Picture Stabilization uses motion sensors that compensate for camera "shake" without compromising picture quality. Super SteadyShot will also eliminate high frequency vibration for smooth video.Manual Focus Ring allows added control of focus. Manual Exposure Control provides for variable exposure control. Digital Noise Reduction delivers improved picture quality in the camera mode, by reducing chrominance (color) noise in low light situations. 2 1/2" Active Matrix LCD provides brilliant images and you can swivel the screen angle up to 270 and even adjust it to the popular 'mirror' mode. This LCD also has anti-glare and anti-fingerprint treatments that will help to eliminate smudges, and offer easier cleaning. With 180k pixels provides excellent viewing clarity, with increased resolution. Sony's smallest Infolithium Battery to date will show you the remaining battery power in minutes in the LCD or the viewfinder. New digital picture effects allow you to get very creative with you shots; you can even vary some of the levels. There are 6 Digital Effects: Still, Flash Motion, Luminance Key, Slow Shutter, Trail, and Old Movie, plus 8 different Picture Effects. Using Sony's unique Adaptive Frame Interpolation for better image quality, you can store up to 700 individual still photos on a 60-minute cassette in the LP Mode. You can also select from 5 different fader modes to transition from scene to scene: Black, Mosaic, Overlap, Bounce, and Monotone. i.Link DV Interface (IEEE1394) allows for edits between two digital camcorders, or a camcorder and a deck with virtually no generation loss. The i.Link interface provides for direct digital communication between you DV Handycam camcorder and you PC with optional DV Capture card(s). To further expand you creativity Sony adds an Index Titler feature that allows you to add Custom titles (22 characters), 8 pre-set titles in 2 sizes and 9 positions using 4k Cassette Memory. 16: 9 Wide Mode allows you to record and playback in a 'widescreen' aspect ratio.

For your consideration, here is a Sony HandyCam Vision, model DCR-PC1 digital movie and still camera. It uses mini digital tapes (not included). See product specs above for details.

This unit is in nice cosmetic shape, with minimal wear. All functions have not been fully tested. However, we determined that it powers up and both the viewfinder and LCD screen work, as well as the zoom. We found a glitch in the tape deck, and it is malfunctioning on the open and close. For this reason, we have not tested the record and playback functions, and the unit is being sold strictly “AS IS”, and no returns will be accepted.

This auction includes the following:

· Camera unit, with lens cap and hand strap

· 1 rechargeable battery, Sony NP-F10. It holds a charge, but not for very long.

· Battery charger, Sony AC-VF10 and a/c cord. (The additional cord to attach to the camera to use it on a/c power is NOT included.)

Again, this auction is sold “as is”, and shiipping is free.
