This auction is for 6 different Matchbox and Hot Wheels VW type 181 Things. First are 4 different colors of the Matchbox VW Type 181 Thing. There's # 76 from the 2008 Matchbox collection the yellow thing. It sports a black interior and top. Then from 2009 there's #93 the light blue and the orange thing. The orange one has a black band along the sides at the bottom which reads " the thing " in orange letters. It also has a black interior and top while the light blue thing has a white interior and top. Also from 2008 is the dark green thing which was part of a 10 pack and does not have an individual package. It was removed from the 10 pack just prior to this auction and is in great condition. It has a black interior and top. All the Matchbox Things are 1:59th scale and measure 2.75" long. They are different colors of the same model, a 1974 Volkswagen Type 181 Thing according to the bottom chassis. The Hot Wheels versions are 2009 new model releases numbered 17. They do not state which year model of the type 181 they represent but I would assume the early 70's. There's an orange one with a tan top and black interior and a tan one with a black top and black interior. They each measure just a little over 2.75" long and, since no scale is shown, must be close to the same scale as the Matchbox version since they are very close in size. With the exception of the loose green matchbox thing from the 10 pack, all other things you are bidding on are sealed their packages. The packages are in good condition with some minor surface marks plus both of the hot wheels packages have a few small dents on the edges. The packages are otherwise crisp & shiny! NOTE: Per the packages, these toys are not suitable for children under 36 months (3 years) of age.Winning bidder adds $4.80 for priority shipping within the U.S. Also, California residents must add 8.25% sales tax.
