Masters of the Universe Classics He-Ro Red Stone MOC!!

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

Up for grabs is a Masters of the Universe Classics He-Ro action figure, mint on card!  Originally slated to be a big part of the Powers of Grayskull from the vintage MOTU line, a prototype of He-Ro was made but never released due to the cancellation of the toyline.  Well, over 20 years later, here he is in all his glory!  First released at the San Diego Comic Con, He-Ro was available at the Matty Collector website a week and a half later and sold out in a few hours.  This version is NOT the Comic Con version, distinguished only from opening the figure and removing the armor where the Con logo is stamped on his chest.  Speaking of versions......

By now it's pretty well known that there are three different gemstones that are randomly packed within He-Ro's magical staff:  the more common green gemstone (The Spell of Protection), the red gemstone (The Spell of Defense), and the purple gemstone (The Spell of Healing).  It was previously believed that the only way to figure out which stone you had was to open up your figure.  Well, that isn't the case.  I originally tried to figure out which stone came with the figure by inserting a folded out paper clip to try and pry the staff open, given that in every MOTU Classics sealed figures there are small holes on the side of the bubble.  Well, that didn't work because I was unaware that there was another layer of plastic surrounding the toy.  When I was taking pics of the figure and trying to get the best angle possible, I noticed that I could see within the slits of the staff due to the sunlight.  I grabbed a Stinger flashlight, and lo and behold it's fairly simple to deduce which gemstone you have without opening the figure!  Hopefully in the provided pic you can see the red gleam through one of the slits as it was taken by my camera phone, but pictures don't really do it justice because it obviously is more clear in person.  Many fans know about the flashlight trick, but as far as I'm aware I'm the only person on eBay thus far who has offered up picture proof that this method works :) !  Given that green is the most common stone, it was originally stated by Matty that purple would be the hardest to find.  Over at the latest He-Man.org tally, it seems that fans have found more purple stones than red (be aware that results do change daily).  For greater detail, click the 'Enlarged' tab to get a much clearer view of the gemstone.  ***Note: The picture of my loose figure is for display purposes only, and your figure will be shipped in the protective outer white box as seen in the display.***
