DESCRIPTION

This auction is for 8 vintage lead infantrymen from The West India Regiment set.19 which were made by Britains in England c.1920's-30's. The soldiers have early type oval bases and they are fixed arm figures with their rifles at the shoulder. The figures have white turbans and red and yellow Zouave-style tunics with white crossbelts and they are standard 54mm scale painted lead.

The soldiers are in excellent condition with only slight paint loss but I think they have most probably been repainted or re-touched at some point and the paint is therefore not original. The later painting has been well done and they have an additional yellow stripe down their trousers (see photo). All of their rifles are intact and they stand and display well. A good opportunity to acquire a superb group of early Britains West India Regiment figures for your collection......well worth a bid.
