The top eyepiece holder allows you to insert a 1.25" reticle eyepiece. The back allows for you to insert the 1.25" front of your CCD camera for imaging. What exactly does this do to help you in imaging? Because you can center your object in the top eyepiece with the flip mirror down, you can then easily make sure the object is going to hit your CCD chip on your camera when you flip the mirror up. One of the biggest problems with CCD imaging is getting the object onto the chip. This item solves that problem and this is the smallest and least expensive flip mirror you will ever find! Small is good because it weighs less and takes up less focus travel, so it is good for not only SCT scopes but Refractors too! Recommended for CCD cameras weighing 2.5 pounds or less.
