These new modular plastic playground systems which resemble our old childhood friend the crayon, have been dubbed the "PLAYON® CRAYON". These systems come in bright vivid primary colors and deep rich natural earth tones. The design possibilities are limited only to your imagination.

The Playon Crayon is safe and smooth to the child's touch, plus it meets the needs of today's environmentally conscience consumer. These systems incorporate recycled plastic material wherever possible, and are totally recyclable. Unlike old-fashioned wood playgrounds, you will never be bothered by slivers, splinters, cracking and structurally unsafe wood. Swingsets

• Belt Swings are included at no extra charge with any playground that has a Hand-Over-Hand climber and is being purchased for residential use only. The photographs show how the swings are attached to the playground.
• Playgrounds to be used for light commercial applications (daycares, churches, businesses etc) should keep swingsets separate from the rest of the play structure.
• Future Play also creates a stand-alone swingset to meet this need.

Color Schemes Available

Note: Colors are very difficult to accurately portray on the web. The colors of your playground will be similar to the ones shown below. Currently, the colors are shown applied only to Fort Columbus as an illustration of the color combination. Eventually there will be pictures of all the playgrounds in each available color scheme.

At the bottom of this page, there is a chart showing the equivalent Crayola® crayon color from their 64-pack crayon box. The solid crayon colors are remarkably similar to the playground colors.

Tropical Sensations

The first thing you notice when you visit the tropics is an almost overwhelming sensation of color - bright, vibrant, riotous displays of vivid reds, yellows, greens and other splashes of color beneath a bright blue sky and lit up with brilliant sunshine. This feeling is captured by Tropical Sensations.

Tropical Rainforest

Tropical forests are filled with brilliantly colored birds, butterflies and flowers. So Tropical Rainforest uses forest green crayons to create the backdrop for vivid tropical colors of red, yellow and blue.

Tropical Sunrise

It is hard to describe the vividness and intensity of color in a typical tropical sunrise. In Tropical Sunrise, the red and yellow of the sunrise are set off by the rich green pipes representing the palm trees greeting the new day.

Ponderosa

A feeling of deep woods is portrayed by Ponderosa, composed of woodsy brown and forest green with a touch of sunshine yellow. This is a good choice if you need to have a playground which needs to appear to become part of the natural environment.

Sherwood Forest

Teal green brings a touch more color to the forest green and woodsy brown environment, highlighted by warm sunshine yellow. Robin Hood and his merry men prefer Sherwood Forest.

Plastic Parts:

The large plastic parts such as the panels, decks, roof, 6" round 10’ long crayon logs, molded steps, etc. are rotationally molded from a special type of polyethylene, using the same rugged, dependable and incredibly durable space-age plastics technology utilized by today's US automotive and Aerospace industries. This manufacturing process creates extremely strong, very durable plastic parts which tend to outlast parts created using other manufacturing processes.

The process is also more time-consuming and more labor-intensive, but we think that the quality of the playgrounds is worth the extra time and effort required.

We believe so strongly in the durability of these plastic parts that they are guaranteed for life to the original owner if used in residential applications, and guaranteed for 20 years to the original owner if used in commercial applications.

Pipes:

The climbers and hand-bars and other tubing used in the playground are made of heavy-duty galvanized pipe which has been powder-coated with an attractive and extremely durable forest green finish.

Hardware:

We use only high-quality hardware with the playground. Many of the fittings are made of stainless steel. All hardware needed for installation is included with the playground.

Tools needed for installation:

The main tool you will use is an electric drill. You will also need a 1/2" wrench or a small crescent wrench. The #2 square driver bit needed for the screws is included with the playground.

Time needed for installation:

Most of the models can be installed in a single day. We strongly recommend having a second person as a helper.
