GRADE "A" MATERIALS - Quality of saddle blankets is primarily based on the materials they are made of. The top of the blanket is of durable, gripped and glitter upholstery velvet that has been vigorously tested against wear and tear in severe riding conditions. The decorations and artwork material used are not compromised in quality either, yet ensuring the finest appearance. The saddle blanket is very durable and will last for years with maintained care and tidiness. The thickness of the three layers combined is about 1/2" and the weight is about 1.5lb.

TAILORING AND CONSTRUCTION - TAILORING AND CONSTRUCTION - Each blanket is 100% hand-made by one of the oldest tailor in this industry. This blanket is a careful blend of superior quality material and supreme designer of western wears and accessories. Itâââââ€ââââ™s quilted with a gap of about 2.25 inches to give it a beautiful look with added strength, stretch prevention, "collecting" or shifting. The blanket itself measures about 34" by 34", unless otherwise stated. The inner border is a colorful sequenced fabric dotted with contrasting show beads. The outside border is of sparkling metallic fabric. It also has gorgeous fringes along the sides in a beautiful matching combination as in the picture. The fabric gives various shades depending on the intensity and direction of light falling on it.

AUSTRIAN CRYSTALS - Hilason Show saddle blanket is decorated with clear, pure, genuine Austrian crystals that are far more outstanding than any other types available. It is meticulously decorated in mass quantity throughout the blanket and is attached via metallic rims that give it a perfect fit. They are not glue or heat-pressed but hand-pressed under the groved metallic rims.

APPLIQUES - All appliquã©s used are hand sewn and edge-embroidered one at a time. They are carefully attached to the blankets with specific attention to alignment, symmetry and neatness.

BASE AND INTERNAL PADDING - The base of the blanket is made of black, polar fleece that is strong and gives the horse that extra comfort to get the best from it. It is, however, recommended that a regular saddle blanket like the Navajo or mayatex is used underneath so that the blanket is free from sweat, dirt and the horse hair. There would not be any need for additional sheet between the horse and the blanket. The internal padding is a proprietary polyester material to ensure temperature regulation and provide a strong base to the attached appliquã©s and crystals.

USAGE: HOW AND WHERE - The saddle blanket is very carefully designed and measured to give it a very evident look when put on the horse. It can be used directly on the horse back or can be used in conjunction with an extra pad, blanket or linen for extra protection of the blanket. The side with star needs to be very tactically placed so that it does not get hidden by the skirts of the saddle.

CLEANING - This saddle blanket is strategically designed to provide convenient cleaning. "Dry Cleaning" can be obtained by simple brush offs with soft brush. A soft cotton cloth can also be used to wipe of hairs that may come onto the show blanket. If the hair is a little sticky, you may use some lightly moisture synthetic material like rubber; rub over the blanket that will statically remove the hairs or any other particles on it. If needed, you can also hand wash the show blanket in cold water without any rinsing or heat application to dry. Simple cold hand washing will do the trick. You can clean the blanket itself with upholstery or spot cleaners.
