The Bell & Howell/Canon Dial 35 is a futuristic half-frame 35mm film camera first produced in the 1960s. An attractive and unusual looking camera, it has many modern features and conveniences unusual for its time. This model has a manually focused, sophisticated Canon 28mm f2.8 lens with 5 elements in 3 groups. The lens can be focused with a distance scale on the lens or using distance symbols in the viewfinder, and focuses from infinity to 2.5 feet (0.8m). It is an unusually good performer with excellent sharpness, contrast and color. 

The Dial 35 includes manual or automatic exposure settings, with shutter speeds from 1/30 to 1/250 second, using an accurate CdS type meter (PX625 1.3V mercury battery or equivalent required). The auto exposure is shutter priority: set the shutter speed, it will pick the correct aperture or warn you of over and under exposure. Flash synchronization is at all shutter speeds. 

The Dial 35 takes standard 35mm film; the meter can be set for ASA 8 to 500 film speeds. Since it produces a half-frame image, a standard roll of 24 exposures will produce 48 exposures. The film is automatically advanced and rewound via a spring-wound film drive system. It also allows use of a cable release, has a tripod mounting socket, and both hot-shoe and PC connection flash units can be used. 

This camera is in full working order and comes with the wrist strap, and the original hard-shell case.
