Combs like these are by girls and women 
The round, flat disc heads convey the Asante (or Ashanti) ideal of beauty.

More elaborate than the more common type, this comb has an inset  round carved face.
Despite its patina it show little of age or tribal use and was probably made for the art market in the 1970's. purchased in I.C. in 1983
