It's purebred, detailed five-on-five strategic ball, as you choose your team, lineup, and turn off any rules you don't like. Over 300 moves were motion-captured in the creation of this game, and it shows. The gameplay is silky smooth, as you make your way through an Exhibition game, a Season, the NBA Playoffs, or an All-Star game. The official schedules for all 29 teams are included, but you can choose to play a 28- or 56-game season of you'd prefer. If you're feeling industrious, build your own NBA superstar with whatever physical attributes and abilities you want. For an extra dose of reality, check out the actual offensive and defensive schemes for each team. And if you're sick of your underachieving, no-good players driving the fans away, play GM and trade away anyone you don't want. With no salary cap regulations, you can pull off any swap you can dream up. Great crowd noise and complete play calling both add to the charm of this complete package.
