| This is a commemorative bronze medal struck in Proof condition. The man behind the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto, realized that in order to win World War 11, Japan would have to strike before America reached its full military strength. Yamomoto's objective was the destruction of the U.S. Pacific fleet, which he knew would come to the island's defense. After the failure of their surprise maneuver, the Japanese were unable to adapt to the changed conditions of the battle, which lasted for four days, June 3-6, 1942. The reverse side of the coin has special dates of interest during that year with brief discriptions. It has a certificate describing the event and other significant historical events of that year. The item pictured is the actual coin you will receive. Check my feedback record and bid with confidence. GUARANTEED SATISFACTION!!!
