Detailed item info
Synopsis
In this attack on the late 20th-century entertainment industry, a comedian of television's Golden Age lambastes TV writers, actors, and other industry players for using sex and violence to boost ratings. Chiefly, he blames several raunchy performers--including Howard Stern, Madonna, and various rap stars--for what he perceives to be the deteriorating moral standards among America's youths. He reasons that glamourous celebrities' sensational messages about sex and drugs encourage youths to rebel against their teachers and parents, have premarital sex, and commit felonies. Additionally, he criticizes talk show tyrants like Jerry Springer for not using his air time to introduce good role models to young viewers.
