Raffine watercolor pencils are quality pencils that provide reliable and consistent results, allowing you to capture your inner vision onto paper with crisp lines and vibrant color. The woods used to make these pencils do not come from the Rain Forest, helping conserve the Earth's valuble resources. The wood used has an excellent hardness, allowing for crisp sharpening, superb pointing and less waste. Each Raffine pencil conforms to ASTM-D-4236 Non-Toxic requirements. These pencils have a super soft lead that goes on smoothly on virtually any surface.
Raffine watercolor pencils are totally soluble in water, allowing you to utilize various techniques including:
- Dipping pencil in water and then drawing to give a softer, deeper and looser quality line
- Washing over drawing with a wet brush to create a wash effect
- Applying to watercolor paintings and then washing over to create greater detail
- Laying in color over permanent marker and washing over.
