This auction is for a Smart Parts Impulse Marker O-ring Kit - 4 Rebuilds

This kit comes with every o-ring you need to completely replace out your current o-rings in the Smart Parts Impulse 4 times.

All of the O-rings in this kit are made from Buna-N rubber and are in the same durometer / hardness found in the original rebuild kit from Smart Parts Paintball. This kit is an exact copy of the factory kit except that Buna-N is used in place of other materials.

The O-Rings-

What's the difference between urethane, silicone, viton and buna o-rings?

The differences between these materials have a lot to do with what chemicals and temperatures they can tolerate, but they also have a lot to do with personal preference as well. Some people prefer silicone because they say that it withstands more abuse, and some people say buna does. From our experience, Buna is by far the way to go with paintball. It is good in a wide array of temperatures, can last a long time, seals great, and is nice and inexpensive.

And what is the 70 and 90 duromater thing you keep mentioning?

The 70 and 90 duromater is simply a measurement or the hardness of the material. Different hardnesses are better used in different situations. All of our kits follow the marker manufacturers recommended duromater for each o-ring. Your kit will have some o-rings in 70 and some in 90, but they will be the same hardness as the ones currently in your marker already, respective to each o-ring.

Why buy o-rings at all?-

I.E. - I have been shooting my marker for 3 years and it shoots just fine and I have never replaced the o-rings.

Just like everything else in the world, even though something may continue to work doesn't mean that it works the best that it can. Picture flashlight. When the batteries in it are new, the light is bright and direct, and they may last a year, but over that time the light becomes more dull and dimmer as the time goes on. The minute you put new batteries in however, the light is immediately bright and sharp once again.

The same goes for the o-rings. At the beginning, they have a nice tight seal and all of the air pressure is directed to the paintball as it should be, causing your paintball to be straight, fast and precise. Though overtime the seal is not as good and air can leak out around the now imperfect seal and that causes your paintball not to fly as far, as straight, or as accurate as it did when these seals where new. You might not even notice the difference because you have seen it change slowly over time so you have adjusted to how it is working each time you use it. But in reality you might have lost 10-30 feet per second of travel and 10-30 feet of ball travel. Losing any part of your shot is no good at all! This is especially important if you are in any kind of competition with your marker.
