This entry to the growing field of competitors is based on the 2001 season, and it’s packed full with the 17 complete Grand Prix circuits that comprise the year in racing. F1 racing has, quite simply, never looked so realistic, with each turn and straightaway replicated in perfect form. Whoever your favorite drivers are, you’ll find them here 11 entire teams are ready to roll from the game’s outset. There are 22 drivers to select from, and each one is graced with the same strategy and traits as his real-life counterpart. Throughout the game’s various modes, you can often customize the races to meet your fancy, but the arcade-style Quick Race mode is always available for no-frills excitement as well. The game’s centerpiece is an all-day Grand Prix mode, which, needless to say, might take up a few precious hours.
