This is an ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR VETERANS GAR G.A.R. OHIO BUCKEYE PIN & RIBBON. This was a fantastic find! Included is a copy of a photo of an 1899 reunion of Civil War Veterans. J. Peary Miller is in the photo. It was his family the ribbon came from.

I do not want to part with the original reunion photo so I am including a paper copy of it. What you see in the photo is the copy you will receive. Also a copy of the back which has the names of each veteran in the photo with the corresponding number so they can be identified. This came from a group of many civil war items, swords, civil war soldiers letters as well as quite a few GAR pins and ribbons, books, rosters etc. I will be listing some of these in the coming weeks, though being a collector myself, I’m having a hard time deciding whether to sell these or which to sell, as I want to keep them for my own collection! As Civil War collectors know, GAR stands for Grand Army of the Republic. There were many reunions of the civil war veterans over the years from 1870s into the 1920s and possibly later.

The items came from the Peary/Miller family. J. Peary Miller & Rev. Milton Miller were brothers and both served in the Civil War. I have some of J. Peary Miller’s letters to his brother Milton. Rev. Milton Miller was a chaplain and both were from Ohio and served in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. J. Peary Miller served in the 153rd O.V.I. Rev. Milton Miller served in the 110th O.V.I. This ribbon belonged to one of them and was for a G.A.R. Ohio reunion. It has a wonderful pin attached as well. This is a FABULOUS G.A.R. CIVIL WAR COLLECTIBLE!!

PLEASE NOTE, I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATONALLY, US SHIPMENTS ONLY.

Items listed are in the original condition obtained unless otherwise stated. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Many of my items come from estate sales. They have been in storage & may be dusty or need cleaning. I try not to clean my items unless there is a significant amount of dirt as cleaning may affect value. I leave that to the discretion of the buyer.

I offer a 7 day return policy. Per Ebay policy below buyer pays return shipping and item only is refunded. Items ship as soon as payment is made. I ship Priority, Fedex, UPS, flat rate or First Class depending on size and whichever method is the quickest.

I strive to keep my customers happy. If you are the winning bidder and have any issues or concerns PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK! I will always do my best to make it right. On most items I do not require insurance unless breakable or fragile. However, I cannot be responsible for post office mishandling, once it leaves my hands it’s beyond my control. If you have any concerns along that line, PLEASE REQUEST INSURANCE. I can combine shipping on multiple purchases.
