 Issued in England on Westside by Demon Music Group Ltd. in 2001. Prefix and catalog number are WESA 909. Complete title as follows, PEPPERMINT HARRIS 'Lonesome As I Can Be (The Jewel Recordings 1965-72)'. Track listing: True Love / Marking Time / Bad Bad Woman / Mama Mama / Anything You Can Do / Raining In My Heart / My Time After Awhile / Unlucky / True Confession / Tell Me I Can Come Home / Anytime Is The Right Time / Wait Until It Happens To You / Bad Bad Whiskey / Lonesome As I Can Be / Little Girl / 24 Hours / My Woman / Nighty Night / I'm Leaving / Key To The Highway / Raining In My Heart (Alternate Take). Best known for his 1950s classics "I Got Loaded" and "Good Morning Little School Girl", Texan Peppermint Harris recorded prolifically between 1947 and '67 and then sporadically for a further 5 years. This CD covers the tail end of his long career and finds him in superb form. Includes both sides of his 6 excellent Jewel 45s plus 4 demos first released in Japan in the late 70s and a further 5 recently discovered tracks that were originally destined for an uncompleted 1972 album all produced by Peppermint's Jewel-Paula labelmate, Bobby Patterson. This title is out of print. Condition is Mint (new, still sealed).
