Stourbridge yellow over white cameo glass scent bottle

A stunning and rare antique scent bottle. Body is made from white on yellow on white cameo glass. A design of flowers, leaves and stems has then been created by removing part of the outer layer of opaque white glass, to expose the yellow interior.

The carving is very crisp - but I can't identify the flowers - probably a prunus??

To the neck there is a concentric arrangement of leave like decorations.

The scent bottle is then capped with a silver screw top cap (marked SILVER). The fit is very tight, and the interior of the cap contains a cork fitting to make the fit air tight.

I have seen similar examples, generically termed Stourbridge. Some examples are attributed to Thomas Webb (an important English manufacturer of cameo glass).

In very good order, with only the tiniest knock to the silver doomed cap.
