The boards are easy to remove and there is no need to send the entire machine unless you want additional service or repairs. We are located in Los Angeles and shipping is available from any location by the carrier of you choice. All repairs come with a limited 90 day warranty. Most service is completed within 72 hours. Although the replacement of capacitors will solve most problems, we recommend that you also check your video and audio levels as these can drift over time.

In addition we offer component level parts replacement of your pre-diagnosed audio or video equipment, for example replacement of tiny chip capacitors and resistors, transistors, capacitors of all kinds and IC's up to 250 pins. This Auction is For:

A basic capacitor rebuild of Panasonic DVCPRO AJ-D440, AJ-D450, AJ-D640, AJ-D650, AJ-D750, AJ-D850, AJ-D940, AJ-D950 and AJ-D960 Recorders. We rebuild the following boards: F2 Syscon, H3 & H4 EQ'S and H-Buff Head Buffer for $199. Add $25 for AJ-D950 and AJ-D960 recorders. Ask us for quotes on other models such as AJ-D230 and AJ-D250 units, cameras or laptops.

Every board is carefully inspected upon arrival. If additional problems or work is found with the board, we will contact you with a re-estimate and you will have the option to approve or decline before committing to any additional costs. First we remove all surface mount electrolytic capacitors from all video boards using the most modern de-soldering techniques & equipment. Then we rigorously clean & inspect all circuit pads for damage from possible previous work, re-flow the solder on clean pads and add improved 2000 hour factory replacement parts. Then the work is cleaned again and thoroughly inspected for accuracy. We use only high quality silver solder and guarantee the work for 90 days. In the 7 years I have been doing these boards for the Panasonic Factory, not one has been returned for a capacitor failure again. Machines with low hours can be like new again. When you are ready to ship your boards to Studio City Engineering, please call first so we can give you instructions on how to remove the boards from the machine and how to properly package and ship the items to us. Insurance is recommended and it is your responsibility for prepaid round trip freight charges.

This auction is for a recommended rebuild of $199. If other service is needed, the cost for the additional service will be given in advance.

We accept Paypal, credit cards or cashiers checks for payment. We will be glad to accept your personal check but we can not ship your board back until your check has cleared.

The auction price does not include return shipping. You are responsible for round trip freight charges from the shipper of your choice.
