This booklet is designed to acquaint you with basic canvaswork techniques and a few of the many needlepoint stitches. Although all of these stitches create a different 'look', there are only a few basic techniques involved. Once you learn them, you will be able to go on to learn any other stitches on your own.

The text begins with a brief introduction to the TOOLS OF THE TRADE, the most commonly used canvases, yarns, needles and frames. This is followed by the RULES OF THE TRADE, general instructions for doing needlepoint. The diagrams and instructions on how to do an assortment of needlepoint stitches are given in the section called STITCHES. There are also instructions on the CARE AND FINISHING OF NEEDLEPOINT, and a GLOSSARY OF COMMON NEEDLEPOINT TERMS.

This softbound book measures 8-5/8" x 11-1/8", contains 33 pages and is in excellent condition (there are no marks or signs of wear on this book, the text and illustrations are clean and bright--there is no underlining or highlighting).
