1920s - RED CHIFFON BEAD FRINGE HEM FLAPPER DRESS 10-12

Here is a very attractive vintage dress.  It is from the 1920s, and was bought in Portobello Market for £75 about fifteen years ago.  It has been worn a couple of times as part of an outfit for a 1920s themed mystery party.  So here are the details!

• Generally very good condition, although there is some damage to the chiffon, there is a hole by the neck, and an area where there are some small holes which is located front just right of centre at waist level.  I have taken photos of these areas of damage with the tape measure next to them so you can see what they are like.  There may be a few other very tiny imperfections - but nothing noticeable.  There are also some strands of the silvery bead fringing missing at the hem.  There is also a loop at about hip level at the left seam which was probably for a matching belt, there is no loop on the other sideseam though, and the dress didn't have a belt when it was bought.
• Lovely silvery bead fringing at hem, I think these are strands of minute glass beads, and they have some weight to them.  There is also bead trim at the neckline and around the armholes.
• Bead fringe strands are approx 4" long
• Back and front are cut the same, so no obvious difference as to which is back or front.
• Red chiffon - so its see-through
• This is a lovely collectible 1920s overdress, that is such fun.
