Vintage ladies hat raspberry red wool w/ feathers

Hello, and welcome. I thank you for stopping

in to take a closer look, with consideration to bid. 

I purchased this hat at an estate sale.

This is a great, vintage hat.

The high crown and wide turned up brim,

adds an elegant day time look.

This 100% wool hat is red raspberry in color.

Monitor colors do vary so please do not

trust the color on your screen. The feathers

are colors of red, and they do not blend into

the color of the hat.

The wool is not matted, but brushed giving

a wispy, soft, silky feel, and look.

The crown is about 7 inches high, while the

turned up bill is 2 1/2 inches wide. It is wired.

There is a stitched, gross-grain ribbon band,

on the inside, as well as the outside. The label

is from MR. JOHN  of New York and Paris, it is

a CLASSIC.

It is stamped inside as

being 100% Wool, and SOLEIL.

Very good condition, with only some estate

sale dust, that a soft brush will take care of.

This hat will ship Priority, your cost is only

a part of the charge by the Post Office.

When an item is purchased at an estate sale, 99% of the time the buyer knows nothing about the piece, unless you have a reputable auctioneer. Even at best, most of the time the auctioneer can only tell you what he sees. Cracks, chips, or what is written on the piece. This information is nice to know during bidding, but it would be the same information I would tell you. Just what I see, as the auctioneer does. The decision to bid is yours. If you are, in any way unsure of what I say, please ask questions. My idea of vintage wear, and yours may be different. My idea of slightly used and yours may be different.  If there is not enough information in what I show in a listing, please ask questions. I strive to comply with the rating system of eBay. I send invoices, with a personal comment, usually within 4 hours of the item ending. I send a notice to let you know when your item will ship. I send a personal note inside the package. I believe my correspondence to you is top rate. I ship many items free in the United States. In most cases you will only pay part of the shipping. I believe I am fair in my shipping charges. And, an item is NEVER later than 2 working postal days to be shipped. And it is always First Class, not a cheaper Parcel Post. I try very hard, and go into great detail to describe my item. You will note, my listings are more than two or three tiny lines. I believe I am very accurate in my descriptions.
