Here is a second beautiful antique soapstone decorative floral carving from Japan.  It was made in the 1940's and is slightly smaller than the other one , measuring 8 1/3inches high by 4 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches deep.  It is in nice shape for its' age but could benefit from an occasional oiling to enhance the lovely stone striations.  Please see photos for details and feel free to ask any questions you may have on this antique oriental soapstone carving from Japan.
