This compilation definitely lives up to its name, featuring some major players. Artists like Too Short, E-40, Suga T, B-Legit, Mack 10, and Ant Banks, not to mention the abundance of ballers on No Limit's roster grace this album. And the skills displayed on MEAN GREEN might suggest that the word "grace" is an understatement. Too Short arguably steals the album with his cut "Major Players," but Mack 10 and his compatriots are not far behind with "Gotta Have Cash." Also worth your attention is "MG Theme," which loops the The O'Jays' "Money Money Money" much more successfully than Charlie Baltimore's similar effort.
