LARGE AESTHETIC POLYCHROME TRANSFERWARE PLATE

FAISAN PATTERN

This large outstanding Victorian aesthetic 10 " plate is transfer printed in black and further enhanced by under glaze painting in brilliant colors.

The FAISON pattern features a Pheasant cartouche surrounded by magnificent pink tulip tree blossoms and foliage. A darker inset feature buds and blossoms of yellow and blue water iris. Surrounding all of this beauty is a wildly geometric border separated by 5 small panels with cherry blossom branches. An exceptional pattern. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature.
