Nanci Griffith first recordings B.F. Deal Sampler EX

This is an Austin, Texas based extremely rare country folk various artists comp featuring Nancy Griffith, Frank Zigal, Will Walker, and John Garza released as B.F. Deal Sampler Vol. 1 in 1977.  Each artist performs three songs that were recorded via two track live and raw with no overdubs in Odysee studio in Austin.  The three songs recorded by Nanci Griffith here Tezas Boy (4:18), If I Were a Child (3:36), and Double Standard Blues (2:52) are the first three songs she ever recorded and can not be found on any other release of hers, not even her debut album Theres a Light Beyond these Woods which was released a year later in 1978 on the same label B.F.
