Antique 1942 Physicians Medical History Calendar Book

Offered for auction is an antique 1942 Warner's (Pharmaceutical Company) Calendar of Medical History. It belonged to Hugh Simmons, MD in Worcester, MA- though his name isn't in it (it was in his collection of appointmant books). Each page has a different date and every other page has an illustration and nugget of medical history. In the back, there is an interesting list of poisonous substances, the lethal dose, symptoms of acute and chronic ingestion and treatment. There are also lists of infectious diseases, incompatable drugs, signs of vitamin deficiencies... and more!

The doctor wrote in the names and addresses of just a few house calls. The book is mostly unmarked. It measures about 5 1/2 x 8" and  is in excellent condition.  It has a pebbled grain (leather?) cover and a ribbon bookmark.What an interesting collector's item!
