Wow! You don't see one of these for sale everyday. They are nearly impossible to find in any condition. It is a Scamp pull wagon made by Metalcraft in the 1930s. This one is unrestored and is missing a couple parts but is a nice project. First, the good - The body is very straight, all four wheels are there with hard rubber tires, and the jewel is complete on the front. The not so good - the handle is broken off and long gone. Two hub caps are missing. There is some rust on the body, mostly on the inside. I don't believe there will be any holes, even after blasting, but there will be pits that will need to be filled. I tried to include enough pictures so you can see the extent of the rust. I was going to restore it myself, but other projects are in line first that won't allow time for that. The reserve is way below its value, just to protect my investment. If it doesn't get to that, I will put it away and look for the missing parts. Buyer to pay shipping from zip 68025, weight about 24lbs. I will pack this well so there is no chance of damage, but would suggest the buyer insure it anyway.
Carsntiques shipping and handling policy
We, at Carsntiques, are committed to making each and every Ebay transaction a positive experience. We work hard to describe each item carefully and add adequate pictures. We strive to answer questions quickly and completely. We then take special pride in packaging carefully and tightly within the container in order to minimize chances for damage during shipping. Based on past experience, we do not encourage the use of USPS parcel post shipping, but do often leave it as an option as a cost saving, but at the buyer’s risk. Please note that when we list an item, we include a weight estimate so you can have an approximate cost of shipping prior to bidding. But we would recommend that, after winning one of our auctions, you wait with payment until we package the item and then send an invoice. Often, the final weight is less than our original estimate and thus, the cost of shipping is also a bit less that is shown in the listing. We do, however, reserve the right to round up the actual final shipping amount in order to pay for the cost of packaging materials. This would normally be around $.50 or so and helps defray the cost of tape, boxes, bubble wrap, etc.
Thanks for your interest in our auctions. We value your business. Bob & Dottie
