A Beautiful Oil Painting On Board depicts a TIPI on an Indian camp. The artist manages to capture the lights, colors, and styles of the Masters that he studied then and applied their styles to his artwork.

Hartwig started painting in 1970, working on his art ln the evening. A year later he quit his job and began painting for living.  Hartwig, grew up in the Santa Clara Valley, he left for three years to spend some time traveling through Europe with the Army.  He was in Germany when he persuaded his wife to leave East Germany and marry him and move to the United States.

When in The United States, he worked in pouring concrete in construction projects.  He was fond of the Marathons that, finally, he won and held the record for long distance marathon in 1991.

His paintings are allover, museums, private collections, corp. collections, and galleries, and attracted a high price. He is considered and compared as the second to Artist Bierstadt and John Stable for romanticism in his work, besides colors, light.
