Vintage ELVES ON BOOKS Salt & Pepper Shakers These vintage figural shakers are really cute but there is a great deal of paint loss on the hat of one. The shaker on the right originally had a red hat but most of it has worn off. Many pieces that were mid-century made had difficulty in retaining their red enamel, as it wasn’t fired onto the piece, but painted on afterward, making it very easy to chip off and wear away when washed. They are not chipped or cracked but there are other little paint nicks on these pieces, nothing major and nothing that takes away from how nice they display. They both have cork stoppers in the bottom but one stopper has fallen inside the shaker. They stand approx. 3 5/8” tall, 1 ¾” wide and 2 ½” deep and they are unmarked on the bottom. I hope my pictures do them justice! Please feel free to contact me for more pictures or to ask any questions you might have, as I may have missed a detail important to you. All of my items are shipped from a non-smoking, pet free environment. Any glare, spotting or light circles in pictures are a result of photography only. PAYMENT – Payment by PAYPAL ONLY is required no later than 3 days after auction ends. I can be flexible with this policy but if I have not heard anything from you about your payment plans within the first 3 days, I will file a Non-Paying Bidder report with Ebay as soon as permitted. In order to take advantage of my combined shipping policy, all auction wins must be paid for on one invoice and shipped together in one parcel. SHIPPING – The listed shipping charge on the auction and invoice includes Delivery Confirmation in the U.S. as well as a handling fee of LESS than .50 cents. I use Paypal shipping services for U.S. shipments and I make sure the actual postage fee shows on the front of each address label, it is not hidden from you. I do my best to have your parcel shipped the day after receiving your payment, but there are times when it may take two days. I always notify my customers on the day their goods have shipped but I cannot guarantee how fast the shipping carrier will get them to you. I generally do not ship on weekends or statutory holidays. My customers are important to me and I want each one to receive their purchase the way I want to receive it when I’m the customer. Note to INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS including CANADA - All packages are shipped by AIRMAIL. It is your responsibility to contact me before bidding for a shipping quote if the shipping calculator is not set up in my auction for that item. If you win the auction, please wait for my after auction invoice before making payment to ensure a correct shipping charge as the Ebay shipping calculator is not always accurate for First Class Airmail shipments. All International shipping charges include a handling fee of $1.00. Customs forms are legal documents and as such, I will not mark parcels as GIFT, nor will I declare a value lower than the winning auction price. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges and these charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs may be before you place a bid. I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FROM INTERNATIONAL BUYERS.
