Vintage 1959 SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS Wooden Ship Model

Original 1959 Sterling Models issue, model Kit # D-2, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS 22 1/2", 1/8" equals to 1.75 ft wooden model kit that looks to be complete. "One of the most famous of all the fabled american clipper ships was most graceful and sea-worthy. Built by Donald McKay at east Boston in 1852". In addition this kit comes complete with the original Warrenty sheet. This model kit is in good condition but to note there is a gouge of the tip of the wooden front hull, and there is a cut with some of the wood shaved off of the end of the smaller wooden plank but misses the cut outline and does not hurt it in the least and is just fine for assembly so please Enlarge all photos showing the wooden plank where the cut is and also the gouge of the hulls front end. Looks like the person who owned this started to assemble it but changed his mind. Box is in very good vintage condition that does show some typical shelf wear due to age, there is a cut slit of small section of the side lid porton but still in overall good condition. Also to note there is a small piece of wood chipping of the balsa plank board but should not hinder it too much on the overall assembly.
