OMM's or RPM's? I have sent out a few of these sets with OMM's and RPM's but I can't sit and look at every one of the mint marks any more. Health wise. If you win this set & you find a variety, please let me know as it will make me very happy to have given you one or more of the varieties in one of my sets!
Here are some of the nicest Jefferson Nickels I have come across over the 30 plus years I've been collecting and selling coins. All from original bank rolls I have saved over the years & decided to pop open and sell! Many are just bright coins as if they were minted yesterday, others have some golden toning to them and most have very sharp edges! In the second picture you can see the three Proof Jefferson I have added to this auction. They show a nice heavy Cameo & are placed inside small plastic 2X2 flips with white cotton gloves on, ALL our coins no matter what grade or condition are handled with gloves on. All 20 Jefferson nickels and with possible RPM's &/or OMM's!! Good luck! "Hoo Rah!!! Gunny"
Here are the dates you will recieve in this auction...
A 1954-D, the Key Date 1955-P the 7th Lowest Minted Jefferson! Along with one each of these,1955-D, 1956P, 1958P&D, 1959P, 1960-D, 1961 P&D, 1962-D, 1963-D, 1964-P, 1965, 1967, 2005-P&D Buffaloes, and the three Proofs are 1975-S, 1976-S, and a really nice 2000-S! All 16 are Very Nice BU's and the three proofs show Heavy Cameo! All or most of these Jefferson nickels have very sharp edges that get caught on our white cotton gloves. I mention this in case you happen across a really sharp one that slips by us and to ask that you be careful when holding one by its edges. An Excellent set of Jefferson Nickels! (Office use; octsp.05-17/3-001)
Grading; My two cents on grading. I know everyone (sellers) are playing the "Grading is very subjective" card, and that is good for them, as this leaves it up to you, the bidder. This should "not" be left up to you, the bidder! The sellers that sell tons of coins should either know how to grade, or should educate themselves enough on grading that they can give you a grade to go by, as that is the only way you will be able to use a pricing guide when buying an item you need! I personally will give you a complete description of the coin(s) or currency and a "Grade" for them as well. As a collector first, I have built a rather large library of books over the years on not only Numismatics, coin collecting, but on Currency, Stamps, Die Cast Cars, Signatures/Autographed Photo's, Baseball, Football, Basketball & NASCAR Cards, etc. But for this example lets talk coins. I use, and I mean I use very strictly, the "PCGS Official Guide Book to Coin Grading and Counterfeit Detection" and also "Photo Grade" by the American Numismatic Association. I often use these guide books side by side as one may have information that the other does not. I was once told and have never forgotten it, "Before you buy, read the book!" Educate yourself a little on grading and get a couple pricing guides so you know what to pay for an item without going to far over never to see a gain in value! Also Remember, "Buy The COIN, Not The SLAB!!" When the 2006-W ASE's came out, I bought a few of the MS70's and was very happy to find out they were going to be one of the key Eagles to the series. One of the MS70's had a mark right on the front of Liberty's gown & I didn't see it until I went to sell it & a friend pointed it out to me. It was from one of the top 2 grading companies! So when I said "Buy the Coin, Not the Slab" you understand why. On the brighter side of that, I learned a lesson there & used it when I purchased the two key silver eagles I have in my listings! Both of these Silver Eagles should of been Proof 70's!! If you get a chance & they have'nt sold, '94-P & '95-P Proof ASE's, check them out! You can also get access to say, the ICG, PCI, ANACS, PCGS or NGC web site(s) and see what the population(s) are for a coin and veiw their pricing guide as well. Just wanted to share that with you. Hope it helps, Gunny
It's very simple with my auctions and buy it now specials, look at the picture(s), decide if it is what your looking for, ask any questions you may have prior to bidding, then use paypal and I will have it out to you, in most cases, the same day! I am trying my hardest to get items out the same day they are paid. Please understand & bear with me through this as I have not been doing well myself. I still think if I can get these out the next day, I am beating some of the sellers that ship once a week! Remember this when filling out my feedback, because I have already taken a couple hits because I didn't get the item out in one day, but two! Wow huh? I will try and most of the time I do, get your item out the same day it is paid! Thank you very much! Gunny
Shipping is only $1.75 for the first item and $.75 cents for each item there after unless it is one of my Free shipping items. Then that Item ships for free. I also add delivery confirmation on many of my items at no cost to you. I have many items that I will be listing but from recent past history of mailing out items, the lower priced items like Cents, through Dollars will most likely have a low shipping cost. Last months average mailing cost per item was $2.15. Ouch! We are currently working out this little problem :o) LOL!I will try my hardest to make more of my items "free shipping" items. I promise!
Insurance: Is not required but is recommended. Please note! We will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items lost in the mail once your item(s) leave our post office. Items going out have been very good thus far, but in the past month, I have had three items coming to me lost or damaged while going through one of the Pittsburgh area post offices prior to coming to my home town! Buyer must let me know right away if they want insurance, because I like to get the "won" items out fast! I honestly try to mail my sold items the same day and in most cases succeed. But I have been bitten by an individual in the feedback area on this once so I will say, I will "try" to get it out the same day. You can add insurance to the invoice that is sent to you and inform us of that in the "note to seller" space just incase it dose'nt go through right. I will see it when we go to package your item(s). Last mail goes out at 4:00pm EST Monday through Friday and 12:00 noon on Saturdays. All other winning items go out first thing the next day or on Monday morning for weekend wins.
Refunds: By enlarging the picture in this listing or asking for more information before you bid, there should be no reason for returns, but I will gladly accept refunds for this item within 10 business days from the date we ship your item to you, but will deduct a $1.00 fee off of the refund price for a restocking fee. We sell items through our mailing list, ad's in Numismatic News, and Coins Magazine. Returned items need to be placed back on these lists and in ad's, which someone here needs to do. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs to return the item(s). Please read Refund policy below, bottom of listing.
Bids, Feedback & Payment; BIDS; Please look at the photo's real good as sometimes I don't see something or forget to list something about an item as there normally is quite alot to write about said item. You can even enlarge the photo's to get a better look. By doing this, it will eliminate 98% of the possible returns not only here in my store, but with other sellers. Returning items is not a problem but we sellers wish to make a sale and try our best to make it final the first go around. Returns are costly and not very enjoyable for you the buyer. If you need additional information, please write and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. I am disabled & am not able to sit here for very long, but will try to jump on for a few minutes, several times a day to answer any questions you may have. I reserve the right to cancel bids by users with recent or excessive negative feedback. Please bid only if you are serious about completing this transaction. FEEDBACK; If you win an item & are pleased with it, please leave feedback quickly to release the items funds so we can pay our fee's to Ebay and use the funds in the way we feel fit to better our services to you. As I stated above, I am disabled, by saying that, I am very slow at getting feedback out to you right away, but when I do feel well enough to sit here, everyone, and I mean everyone gets Excellent Feedback by me no matter what! There is nothing that can't be taken care of between the two of us! Communication is the key to success! Serving in the Military for 17 years & seeing some of the things I have seen, I know we can work out any problems and I do not beleive in Bad Feedback! PAYMENT(S); PLEASE! If you win an item & something comes up that you cannot pay for it right away, please let me know! I fully understand that family emergencies arise from time to time and I will work with you and hold your item as needed & agreed upon by you, the buyer and myself. I also am aware of problems pertaining to either Ebay or Paypal, as I have lived them same problems myself several times a year! Not sure why I have all the problems, but I do! And we usually get them taken care of pretty quickly, in most cases! Payments are negotiable if you write me early on an item. Paypal is the prefered and recommended payment service for all of my listed items. Thank you for reading this, Gunny
Item Handeling; We handle every coin and peice of currency with white cotton gloves no matter the grade or condition so be certain your coins and currency will be handled with all the care one can give.
Over Sea's Shipping: Sorry, I do not ship over sea's at this time so please do not bid or purchase.
Hawaii & Alaska; Buyers please wait for an invoice from me. I always add a little personal message to my invoices. Ebay sends an invoice to you right after the item ends. Wait until I send you an invoice which will list the proper shipping for your item, to your location. I was running with a flat rate price, but in some cases it was to much money, while others not enough. I want to make it fair and proper to both parties involved. I want your experience here to be a nice one & I do not make money on charging extra shipping. I actually lost about $50 last month on shipping. Thank you so much for your help and your purchases! Gunny.
A little about myself...
I'm a recently disabled U.S. Marine and have decided to part with some of my coins and currency I've collected over the years. I have over 30 years of experience collecting, grading and selling as a collector and as a local dealer. Please pop in from time to time & see what I have listed for you to buy or bid on. Remember, pray for our troops as none of us would be doing this if it were'nt for them.
Thank you & God bless, "Gunny" L.P. Carlson GySgt USMC Disabled 2004 |
