Item specifics
Application: Opera Glasses  
This is a really nice pair of antique French mother of pearl and brass opera glasses from circa 1800s. They are made by: "LE ROI PARIS" as stamped on both eyepieces. There is also engraving: "MADE IN FRANCE" and "2" on the middle brass bridge. I was able to find some information on "Le Roi" as a clock maker in the late 1800s, but not a whole lot about opera glasses. This pair is overall, in very good condition, with an exception of one small cracked area on just one panel of MOP of the right barrel(photo#: 6). These are totally functional and they measure: 3.75 x 2.25 / 3(fully extended) x 1.25 inches. This is an average size pair, which could either be used for events, or would make a great addition to your collection.
