Isle of Lewis Bookends Large King Chess Pieces

 This auction is for 2 Isle of Lewis King Bookends. (small kings pictured are for size reference and detail comparison only and are not included)

They are cast from my original sculptures which I based on my smaller chess pieces that are based on the original Isle of Lewis Chess set.

Each Large King Bookend weighs nearly 6 lbs and stands over 8 inches tall. 

They are made out of solid cast Portland Stone, painted with Enamel, antiqued with oil, varnished with Polyurethane and fitted with a felt bottom cut to match its base.  This is the same process and materials I use to make my small chess pieces, just on a larger scale.

You can choose either Ivory and Dark Red as pictured or  any other color of your choice.  The finish can also be gloss, satin (pictured) or matte.
I will make detail painted kings in any color (multiple colors on each piece) for an extra cost. Pictures of my detail painted smaller chess pieces for reference can be seen on www.myspace.com/rrlunde.
