Answers to some common questions: Q1: Will you ship outside the USA? A1: NO. That's final. I've been burned too many times from bidders who get their items and then when the customs and/or brokerage fees come up they are nowhere to be found. If you're from outside the USA then I'll need a US address to ship to. That could be a friend, family member or business. But I WILL NOT ship outside the USA. No exceptions. Q2: How much does shipping cost? A2: If it's not stated in the ad or in the shipping costs area then I usually have a shipping calculator included for you to determine the cost to ship to your ZIP code. Unless stated otherwise, insurance is additional. Q3: Can I pick up my purchase if I'm local? If so, is there a handling charge? A3: I love to meet winners to exchange their item for cash or if prepaid via PayPal. There's never a meeting charge. Some items I can deliver if they're something your vehicle can't handle and you're fairly close, but then I'll charge a mileage fee of 20 cents a mile, both ways. I can give you a quote before you agree to that. That expense would be payable before I deliver as an added cost to the total. Q4: Can I send cash? A4: Per eBay policy I can only accept cash if you're picking your item up locally. Q5: Will you end the auction early? A5: Nope. I don't care what the reason is, the answer is "no". I've heard everything under the sun as to why you can't bid at the end of the auction, ("I'll be out of town then", "My computer is going in for service", "I'm best man at my friend's wedding", "I'm going to be in the hospital", "I can only use a computer when I'm at work", "I really want your item but I can only spend $??.??"), but if you can send the question you could have sent a bid. I give everyone a chance to know when the auction will end and won't surprise ( and disappoint ) anyone by ending it early. Q6: I got the item and didn't know it was that model. It won't work for me. What do I do? A6: Just contact me and I'm sure we can work things out. Don't go ballistic and toss off a negative feedback. I try to describe everything fully, but I can't be an expert on everything I sell and therefore may miss some key point. If you're in doubt after reading the ad, send me a question!! I can usually respond within a day and you'll have your answer. Even if that means sending you a special photo. Q7: Will you combine items to save shipping costs? A7: If at all possible I'll combine items to ship at the best cost possible. However, sometimes it just isn't a good idea to put things together in the same box. An example might be a very fragile glass item with a heavy tool. I pack very well, but I can't always combine things that might beat each other up while being tossed around in the shipping process. Contact me if you're interested in two or more items to see if we both agree to combine them and I'll give you a shipping quote. Q8: What the heck does "segmentedturner" mean? Your seller name has me intrigued. A8: SegmentedTurner links to my personal website that my seller name refers to. I'm a woodturner, and one of my specialties is segmented turning, where the piece is built of several pieces of wood that are glued together before being turned on the lathe. I also do other types of woodturning and produce special tools for woodturners. Feel free to check out my work and let me know what you think.
