This is a Marx Pressed Steel Dump Truck Bed Original Factory Sample. This item originated in the Louis Marx Toy Company Engineering Department. It is a fully formed, production ready dump truck bed. It is in excellent condition and was never part of an assembled truck. It measures 12 1/2" from the front of the cab protector to the back of the bed, it is 7 1/4" wide and 4" tall. It is marked on the bottom with Engineering Department notes; "Model No. 65466X, Dump Body w/ Cab Shield, Final Form Die, PT-1849-F".
