Movie description
In 1977 Richard Pryor was fully established as a stand-up comedian capable of combining political satire with sidesplitting laughs. The next reasonable move on his career path seemed to be to go into television, especially after the spectacular success of his one-off special for NBC in May that year. Unfortunately the subsequent series was aborted after only four shows and poor ratings, but has since been acclaimed as being amongst Pryor's best work. This first volume of the shows features Pryor's trademark wit, and includes appearances from John Belushi, Maya Angelou, Robin Williams, and many others.
