Our wall beds require a standared Queen size innerspring mattress that should not exceed 12 inches in thickness. The Bed attaches to your wall, only at the top/back, into the studs in the wall. Installation is extremely easy, requires two people, and about an hour of your time. The over all dimensions of this bed is 89 1/4 inches Tall, 65 1/2 inches wide, 18 inches deep (outside), and the bed projects out 86 inches away from the wall when open. Shipping includes two men carrying the boxes to the first dry location in your home. The bed uses a piston mechanism that has a smooth operation when opening and closing. We use NO MELMINE in the construction of our murphy beds. Our Wall Beds are built from REAL WOOD (both solid wood and furniture grade plywood).
