S4A-112 These are NEW OLD STOCK Retro Style Rose Sun Glasses – Red Plastic Frame with Rose coloured all weather Lens "Shades for AIDS" were donated to LPRC by a family who lost a dear member of their family to AIDS back in 1990. The family would like to remain anonymous, but would like to share their story of these vintage shades. "Before my father died he was a business man who sold Blu Blocker, Aviators and other super hip sunglasses back in the 80s. In 1990 we lost Dad to AIDS and as we were too young to continue on with his business we simply stored these glasses for almost 20 years. We never knew what to do with them, but could not throw them out as we somehow felt attached to them. Since the death of my father I have focused my efforts in the fight against AIDS and spoke with my Mom about a great way to commemorate Dad and help others who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. So in a generous fashion, my Mom donated hundreds of sunglasses to LPRC to use to raise funds for this fight against HIV/AIDS. We, as a family, hope that people will treat themselves to a pair or 2 of these truly vintage shades and fight AIDS!
