Up for auction is this very old Gem Safety Razor Set that was manufactured by the Gem Cutlery Company around 1900. It comes with three Kampfe Star wedge blades and a Radio Stropper.
PLEASE NOTE: the Radio Stropper is not part of the original set and is only included as a bonus. The original Gem stropper would have had a wooden handle.
This Gem Razor Set is in good condition, considering its age. I should look so good at 109 years of age. The original leather covering to the case has worn away, and a former owner most likely painted it a silver color. The metal closure on the case works perfectly and contains the letter "Z" for one of the owners of the original company - Mary Zinn.
These old Gem Razor Sets are very hard to find and would make a nice addition to a collection of shaving items or simply as a display piece. High bidder pays $5 for Priority Mail shipping in the US.
